For your consideration is this vintage set of 6 cork backed pictoral coasters in their original box produced by Celluware Limited under the brand Pimpernel-Fayreings. The earliest advertisements found on Newpapers online document repository was dated 1969. The advertisement did not provide a photo of the product but rather a description of scenes of England and Europe. According to the advertisement, these are constructed of hard Swedish board on cork backing.Each coaster measures 4 inches x 4 inches x 0.1 inch thick. Light foxing on them is noted, but it is very faint. One has a very faint liquid stain (Princess Street). I have cleaned and treated the set with archival safe solvents. Each coaster has a gold border. Lovely vintage set!!
