The K&E 9081-3 slide rule is an all-plastic version of K&E’s flagship mahogany 4081-3 Log Log Duplex Decitrig slide rule. The 9081-3 model number was only used from 1949 until 1952 when it was replaced with the 4181-3 number. This one must have been made right at the end, when the 9081-3 number was being phased out, as the slide rule is still labeled ”N9081-3” !! The 9081-3 feels more substantial than most other plastic slide rules, and is noticeably thicker."
