This item was manufactured for the Krewe of Rex in 1910. These lovely art nouveau favors were for the King of Rex to give out to his favored subjects during the Mardi Gras Celebration that year.
There is obvious usage marks and bright spots void of patina. There appears to be micro-engraving on the back of the item and there is evidence of a name being written in cursive as well.
