This rare and hauntingly beautiful Antique (124 year old) Photogravure of "Monarch of the Glen” by Sir Edwin Landseer. Extracted from an original antique collection ’The Hundred Best Pictures’ compiled in 1901 by Charles Letts. The Photogravure is tipped in (lightly glued on one side) to the original thick creamy backing paper which has been trimmed down to size and features text from the follow page on the back. These look stunning in a floating frame, or equally impressive mounted in a frame. The Photogravure can easily be lifted from the backing paper. 📝PLEASE NOTE: the floating frame in the photos is NOT INCLUDED in the sale and is for display and inspiration purposes only. ▪️Total paper size is approx 35.5 × 26.8cm ▪️Photogravure size is 17 x 16cm Print in very good condition for age, paper has three small holes from its original binding.
