This vintage movie publicity still (8 1/4” x 10”) is in very good condition. This photo was provided by Paramount Pictures to magazines and newspapers to publicize a very sophisticated & glamorous-looking Rosalind Russell starring in 1942 film “Take A Letter, Darling”. Since this is original 80 year old still photo, it is bound to have some imperfections or defects routinely found in vintage photos. There are tiny border defects & other minor marks or defects, light "scuff" marks & tiny creases almost solely in borders likely acquired thru handling. The crisp & clean image is in fantastic condition & displays very well.
Ros Russell was an actress, comedian, screenwriter & singer known for her role as fast-talking news reporter Hildy Johnson in Howard Hawks screwball comedy “His Girl Friday” (1940), opposite Cary Grant; Mame Dennis in Auntie Mame (1958); & Rose in Gypsy (1962). Russell was nominated for Best Actress Oscar 4 times & won a Tony Award.
