Named in honor of the only female empress of China, 'Empress Wu' certainly carries an imperial presence into the garden with spectacular size in both height and width that makes it a true garden specimen. Leaves emerge deep green with a blue tinge and heavily corrugated and seem to just keep on growing until they reach an unprecedented 18" across! These massive leaves form an equally massive mound that fills space beautifully in partial to full shade locations.
