Over 7 pounds of vintage 1970's jute rope/cord/yarn in classic retro shades of mustard yellow/harvest gold. 8 NWT balls of cordage intended for use in macrame weaving. Each ball is wrapped in cellophane - some have original (loose) price tags & some don't. Many came from the unique department store called "The Akron" based in southern California that closed in 1985.
I don't know how many yards this lot contains - suffice it to say there is a LOT of cordage here - two partial tags suggest 180-210 feet per ball = 40+ yards!. The thickness ranges from 1 ball of very thick rope (around 5mm), 6 balls of medium thickness (around 4mm) to a single ball of thinner yarn (about 3 mm). Numbers are guesses as the cordage compresses - it's a rough idea. Please inspect pics for scale. Deadstock condition.
