A 11"x14" Vintage PrintGallatin City Hotel #67/75 and signed, built in 1868 by Jarvis Akin. It is not a motel. The hotel was originally a one-room building made of hand-hewn logs and served as the center of social life for Gallatin City, Montana.
Location: The remains are located near Three Forks, Montana, within the Missouri Headwaters State Park.
History: Gallatin City was vacated by 1890 as Bozeman became the main town in the area. The hotel is the only remaining building from the original townsite.
Current State: The building is now a preserved frame or shell, a scenic spot for visitors to the state park.
